We are looking for a resident or board-eligible prosthetics professional with prior patient care experience, good communication skills, and technical skills.
We are a state-of-the-art practice with a 5,000-square-foot central fabrication facility that includes high-capacity 3D printers, carvers, and digital scanning technology to support all 7 of our locations. We specialize in home-care prosthetics as well as office-based care. We have 8 handicap vans that transport patients to and from their homes and offices, as well as the ability to see them at home and in facilities.
For the right candidate, we also offer residency housing 1 mile from our lab. We continue to interview residents until we find the perfect fit. We reimburse for all license fees and travel. We have a great compensation package that includes health and dental insurance, 401k, and more.
In the past ten years, we have had 8 prosthetic residents successfully complete their training at our facility.
Job Functions:
- Performing comprehensive assessments of patients to obtain an understanding of the patients’ prosthetic needs and goals to design the most appropriate prosthetic devices in the patients’ home and/or office.
- Creating a comprehensive prosthetic treatment plan to meet the needs and goals of the patient in collaboration with the ordering physician(s).
- Performing all the necessary procedures to create, fit, manufacture, test, and deliver the appropriate prosthetic.
- Working side by side with your lab technicians, your office administrator, and your patient advocate to deliver support beyond the prosthetic for your patients.
- Select materials, make cast measurements, model modifications, and layouts, considering new techniques and materials.
- Instruct patient in use of prosthetic and devices while working with your advocate to advise on proper medical care needed beyond our services.
- Providing continued patient care and periodic evaluation to assure/maintain/document optimal fit and function of the prosthesis/orthosis.
- Repairing and/or modifying prosthetics based upon patient needs.
- Preparing extremely comprehensive clinical notes and documentation in a prompt and organized manner.
- Compliance with all policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Participating in personal and professional development through continuing education, training, and research.
 Requirements:
- ABC certification as a CP or CPO, or board eligible.
- Graduated from an NCOPE-accredited program and residency.
- Minimum of a bachelor’s level of education (Florida state requirement for licensing).
- Strong clinical skills in adult and pediatric simple and complex cases.
- Road warrior ability with our mobile platform.
- Proficient computer, documentation, and communication skills (OPIE experience preferred).
- Strong coding knowledge.
- Excellent time-management skills and a great bedside manner.
- Team-oriented attitude.
- Patient-driven mindset.
