These two Haitians are — literally — walking out of our Davie, FL clinic with two donated prosthetic legs; look at their fluidity and motion! What a great feeling to see them come in using crutches and walk away with a new lease on movement!
These Haitians were victims of the 7.0 magnitude earthquake that devastated Haiti’s capital, Port-au-Prince, on January 12th, 2010. Many thousands of Haitians sustained permanent injuries from this catastrophic event. These two have not worked since 2010 due to mobility challenges from their amputations. No more need for those crutches!
